Scaling Up Solar: Emmvee’s Rs 5,500 Crore TOPCon Expansion Plan

Emmvee Photovoltaic Power is advancing a major expansion of its integrated TOPCon module and cell manufacturing capacities.

The upcoming module line is on track for commissioning by December 2026, with the 6 GW cell line slated to follow next year. This growth is underpinned by a robust order book of 10.4 GW at the close of Q2 FY27. As of September 30, the company’s existing annual manufacturing footprint stands at 10.3 GW for solar modules and 2.94 GW for TOPCon solar cells. Upon completion of this expansion, annual capacities will rise to approximately 16.3 GW for modules and 8.9 GW for cells, significantly enhancing backward integration and supply chain resilience.

Looking ahead, Emmvee also plans a phased investment to establish 9 GW of ingot and wafer manufacturing facilities. This proposed initiative entails an estimated capital expenditure of Rs 5,000–5,500 crore, which is expected to be funded primarily through internal accruals.
